MAC Seeks Folk and Traditional Arts Program Director

The Mississippi Arts Commission (MAC) is the state’s official arts granting and service agency. Based in Jackson, Mississippi, MAC is an independent state agency governed by a fifteen person board. MAC has a long history of providing grants and services to Mississippi’s traditional artists and the organizations that support them.

MAC is currently seeking a Folk and Traditional Arts Program Director. This is a full-time, permanent position with the agency. The director manages grants to organizations and individuals, as well as a number of special initiatives.

Applicants must also submit an application for the position through the “Job Seekers” section of Mississippi State Personnel Board’s website (www.mspb.ms.gov). The position is listed as “Branch Director II” (based in Hinds County) in the listings on the site. MAC is not allowed to interview applicants if they have not submitted an application through the Personnel Board.
